Pamela is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with expertise in Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Undiagnosed ADHD can be a debilitating disorder, affecting personal organization, job success and interpersonal relationships. It is estimated that 4.4 million adults have Adult ADHD, many going undiagnosed and untreated.

ADHD is a mental disorder involving dysregulation of the neurotransmitter, dopamine, in the prefrontal cortex of the brain. It is important to seek a provider with the expertise to rule out comorbid conditions such as anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, or substance use disorders, which often accompany ADHD. It may be important to treat underlying conditions before treating ADHD.

The treatment for ADHD is stimulant or non-stimulant medication, depending on your situation. Pamela will choose the appropriate medication to cover ADHD symptoms for the hours that need to be covered for your work or school schedule.

Alternative therapies, such as therapy, coaching, organizational tools and supplements can also be discussed and incorporated into your treatment plan.
